Admittedly, the first couple days of our stay in Trastevere consisted of us sleeping late, getting up to search (this was never challenging) for DELICIOUS pizza and wander around marveling at the Colosseum, The Arch of Constantine, and a plethora of other monuments, cathedrals and ruins that were literally around every corner. We also spent some time in our own neighborhood taking in the little shops, cafes, restaurants and the never ending gelato vendors. :)
Since we only had one day left before we moved to the accommodation that had been booked for Tim's conference we planned a day trip to Vatican City.
